Synopsis: Lin Qi Le, also known as Cherry, is raised by her parents, both electrical construction workers, and her friends Yu Qiao, Qin Ye Yun, Du Shang, and Cai Fang Yuan on a construction site in the highlands. Jiang Qiao Xi, a gifted child nurtured by his parents to replace his late older brother, gradually integrates into this close-knit group after transferring to their school. Lin Qi Le’s family provides a rare source of warmth during Jiang Qiao Xi’s upbringing, and she becomes a crucial character in his life.
The buddies spread in different directions over time. Lin Qi Le, whose heart is as transparent as amber, begins to experience the bittersweet sides of growing up and ventures out from her parents’ protective wings into the larger world. Years later, the gang reunites in a regional experimental school, where they assist one another during three years of hard work, preparing for a larger future. At this point, Jiang Qiao Xi, whose future looks bright, leaves without telling anybody to go to Hong Kong to care for his cousin, who is bedridden due to an accident.
Lin Qi Le, who misses him, bravely pursues him out, and as they learn about the world as adults, their friendship strengthens.
