Synopsis: Xiao Wu Xia, the youthful ruler of Yueluo City, suffered humiliation and remained in Liang Kingdom for many years. He renamed himself Wei Zhao and became known as a sycophant. Wei Zhao attempted to abduct the lone survivor in the case to learn the truth about his family at the time. However, his meticulously planned strategy was thwarted by the unexpected entrance of the little girl Jiang Ci. Pei Yan used the chance to bring the severely wounded Jiang Ci inside the house in order to locate the “saboteur” behind the scenes.
Wei Zhao’s painful life experience and virtue moved the naive Jiang Ci. The two recognized one other’s strengths and eventually developed mutual affections for each other as they got along.
In the end, Wei Zhao, Jiang Ci, and Pei Yan set aside their personal differences and fought together against Emperor Liang, fulfilling their desire to defend Yueluo and build a greater kingdom.
